Tekken 8 is one of the most highly anticipated games of the year, and fans of the franchise are eagerly awaiting its release. Recently, we had the opportunity to go hands-on with Tekken 8 and try out some of the new features and gameplay mechanics. In this blog, we’ll share our impressions and give you a sneak peek at what you can expect from Tekken 8.
One of the first things we noticed when playing Tekken 8 was the improved graphics and visuals. The character models are more detailed than ever before, and the environments are incredibly immersive. We played on a PlayStation 5, and the game ran smoothly with no noticeable frame rate drops or lag.
But of course, the most important aspect of any fighting game is the gameplay, and Tekken 8 does not disappoint in this regard. The core mechanics of the game remain largely the same, but there are some new features and tweaks that add a new layer of depth to the gameplay.
One of the most exciting new features in Tekken 8 is the introduction of a new mechanic called “Clash.” Clash allows players to cancel out an opponent’s attack by performing a well-timed block or counterattack. This adds a new level of strategy to the game, as players must now consider not only their own moves but also their opponent’s.
Another new addition to Tekken 8 is the “Rage Drive” mechanic, which allows players to perform a special move when their health drops below a certain threshold. These moves are incredibly powerful and can turn the tide of a match, but they also require precise timing and execution.
We also had the opportunity to try out some of the new characters in Tekken 8, including the fan favorite Ling Xiaoyu. Ling Xiaoyu’s new moves and abilities are a welcome addition to the game, and we can’t wait to see what other new characters will be included in the final release.
Overall, our hands-on preview of Tekken 8 left us impressed and excited for the game’s release. The improved graphics and gameplay mechanics are sure to please longtime fans of the franchise, while the new features and characters will bring in new players as well. If you’re a fan of fighting games or the Tekken franchise, Tekken 8 is definitely a game to keep an eye on.
